What is Whisperlodge?

It is a sensory journey through live ASMR

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a sensory phenomenon where viewers feel pleasurable tingles from specific visual, auditory and haptic triggers.

First observed and discussed on the internet in 2007, the phenomenon is only beginning to be studied academically. You can find out more at https://asmruniversity.com/ where Dr. Craig Richard PhD is documenting and researching the sensory phenomenon.

Whisperlodge is the very first in-person immersive ASMR experience. We want to bring ASMR into the real world, up close and personal. Guests have described their tingles as “more intense than from YouTube videos”.

On April 4, 5 & 6, attend one of the Whisperlodge events at Culture Lab during Art Affair.

Relax and drift away into a dream world with Whisperlodge: Day Dream, a live sound meditation experience designed to soothe the senses. Incorporating the use of ASMR, guests will put on silent disco headphones and explore the state of sleep via live performance and binaural surround sound. Experience includes some consensual, light touch.

Recently featured on the Netflix documentary Follow This, Whisperlodge creates immersive ASMR experiences for relaxation, sensory exploration, and personal discovery. They’ve been featured in the New York Times, Newsweek, Buzzfeed, Mashable, and more, as pioneers bringing the online phenomenon of ASMR into real life.
